Dr. Ashley Royce completed her undergraduate coursework cum laude from the University of North Dakota. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University College of Optometry in 2007. Dr. Royce went on to complete a post graduate hospital-based residency in geriatric and primary care at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Roseburg, Oregon, primarily managing veterans with ocular disease. Upon completion of her residency, she practiced in Eugene, Oregon for many years. She was actively involved in the American Optometric Association, and working as an adjunct professor for Pacific University College of Optometry. She was named in Eugene Magazine’s “Top Doctors” by her peers.
Dr. Royce joined Premier Eye Clinic in 2014, specializing in comprehensive eye care, post-operative surgical care, management of ocular disease, and dry eye treatment. She enjoys cosmetic and multifocal contact lens fittings, but has a particular passion in fitting medical contact lenses to solve the visual problems in patients with corneal disease. Dr. Royce is a member Florida Optometric Society and Volusia Optometric Society. She and her husband have two young boys and a daughter. They are actively involved in their church and enjoy spending time on their small hobby farm.
